What started out as selling at festivals and flea markets in 2016 has turned into a full-time job for me, Sharon Lester (also a nurse) and my husband, Clint Lester (a retired coal miner), as we decided in 2018 to open Tim Ivy Boutique & Gifts full time at 1143 Plaza Drive; Grundy, Va in the Grundy Plaza Market Place. When we first started Tim Ivy Boutique & Gifts, we didn’t intend to open a full time store. We were selling our first products at an October Fest at Council, Va with a small space of only 2 tables filled with hats, pocket knives, belt buckles, homemade soap and old-fashioned candy, and from there we branched out and sold at LeRoy’s Flea Market just outside Abingdon, Va. Driving to and from festivals and marketplaces, and as we keep growing, is ultimately what led us to decide to open a store in Grundy, Va, where we both grew up, and to settle into a scheduled routine which sees the store open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

Our customers tell us all the time, we are one of the most unique stores in the area and they love coming in. From 2 tables to about 5000sqft the store carries CBD oil and products, Bates Family Farm goat milk lotion’s and soap, The Naked Bee honey products (lotions, shampoo, hair condition, soaps), Simply Southern Tees, Kerusso christian tees, Leanin’ Tree Cards, Rada Cutlery, Jewelry make-up and perfumes, candles, belt and buckles, old coins, household products, coal figurines, linens, flashlights and tasers, Muscial instruments, strings, tuners, straps and other accessories, hats and caps including cowboy hats, we are the largest distributor of are knives in the county of Buchanan and we are Case XX dealer, and we sell various other brand pocket knives, knives in all different price ranges.

People wonder all the time about the name of our store and who is “Tim” who is “Ivy”. The name of the store is representative of the customers to whom the store caters. It’s a store for men and women and “Tim” is the men and “Ivy” is the women. We wanted a name to represent both men and women. The items found in Tim Ivy Boutique & Gifts are products carefully chosen that will appeal to all ”Gifts for him-her-kids-pets, Gifts for everybody. We strive to bring unique products you cannot find at big box stores. We bring unique products to our little neighborhoods. Our knowledgeable staff is ready to help our customers in finding the perfect gift for teacher, wedding, birthday, showers, any special occasion gift or just something a little fun to brighten your day.
